Jenny Dorey.jpg

Jenny was a member of the lay committee of the Royal College of Anaesthetics (RCOA) for six years, where she was particularly involved in research activities, including providing PPIE as a member of the Patient, Carers and Public Involvement and Engagement group (PCPIE)and reviewing and awarding research applications. She continues to be involved in a number of related safety and research projects, including RCOA National Audit Project, (NAP7) reviewing perioperative cardiac arrests, Peri operative quality improvement programme (PQIP),  Greener Operations (delivering sustainable operations) and providing PPIE to several peri operative clinical trials.

Jenny is now retired and her contribution to PPIE is as a citizen, patient, parent and grandparent, but also informed by many years working in the NHS.  Jenny was a practising hospital pharmacist for most of her career, and retains her interest in high quality safe, effective and patient focused care, delivered by a multidisciplinary and multiprofessional team working in partnership with patients and the public.

For Central London PSRC, Jenny is particularly focused on  widening involvement of patients and the public from all backgrounds, especially those who may be less easy to reach, and improving feedback of outcomes and recommendations in a format which everyone can access and understand.
