Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Our Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) strategy aims to embed these values in every aspect of our patient safety research. We collaborate closely with our public and patient involvement leads, as well as our academy and theme leads, to achieve this goal.

Our Focus


Our approach is two-fold:

  1. Research Governance and Delivery: We strive to integrate EDI into our research governance and delivery frameworks, ensuring a diverse representation of research participants.

  2. Recruitment and Team Development: We prioritise inclusivity and diversity in our recruitment processes and team development initiatives, fostering a research team that reflects a wide range of professional backgrounds.

 

We believe that embracing EDI is essential for producing meaningful research that truly serves our communities.

As part of this commitment, we utilise the SafetyNet EDI Maturity Model, a framework designed to assess and improve EDI practices across our research initiatives. This model helps us measure our progress and ensure that we are continuously evolving in our approach to inclusivity.
